“Due to the very extensive choice of brands and types on the market today, Toneelhuis organised a few demo sessions to objectively make the right choices in our purchase process. The various brands and suppliers were allowed to present their moving head fixtures that are fitted with the minimum requirements we had. Our workhorse luminaries need shutter blades, sufficient output for a large theater hall, beautiful colours and of course silent cooling.” - Jens Laureyns, Technical Coordinator.

After a first general demo, Ayrton made it to the shortlist. Later the technical crew and in-house technicians tested these fixtures to the fullest.

“Since we are making theater, the visual aspect is essential. We tested whether it was possible to easily recreate our existing theater colours from the LEE catalog, but we also took the time to look at sets and costumes under the different light sources. After a thorough evaluation of all our research, the Ayrton Ghibli-S came out on top.”

Toneelhuis now has 13 Ayrton Ghibli-S fixtures that are not only used in-house but are also part of their traveling performances equipment.
