Instead of using professional lighting for theatres, performances or concerts, OXO's lighting fixtures also can be used for exhibitions. The UV Beam and Colorbeam 18 FCW are used at D.Art in Mechelen.

D.Art is a collaboration for artists in modern art in Mechelen. From Friday June 24 till Sunday July 3 they organise an exhibition for artists in various disciplines. One of the artists is Carine Jacobs who presents a lighting artwork called “Glowing”. FACE's Erwin Van der Vieren selected the perfect lighting fixtures to let the installation glow.

They chose to work with the OXO UV Beam which is a static ultraviolet projector with an COB 90W source. The UV Beam has a 35° projection angle and can be managed by a DMX (1 or 2 channels) with an XLR5 in and out connection. With a low electricity consumption, the UV Beam has a great value for money for this installation.

The second fixture they selected is the Colorbeam 18 FCW, which delivers a very powerful output, but with 160W is has a very conventional consumption. The Colorbeam 18 FCW has an 20° projection angle and can be managed by a DMX (1, 2, 4 or 8 channels) with an XLR5 in and out connection. “This 18 FCW has a built-in program which is perfectly suitable for the artwork. We chose the Colorbeam 18 version because we need its power to perfectly lighten up the installation”, explains Erwin Van der Vieren.
