The Jupiler Pro League is Belgium’s first division A and the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Seasons run from late July to early May, with teams playing 30 matches each in the regular season, and then entering play-offs 1 or play-offs 2 according to their position in the regular season.
NEP Belgium is a general and technical services television company, formerly known as Outside Broadcast. For years, they have been broadcasting many sport competitions, concerts and festivals. For next year’s season of the Jupiler Pro League, they invested in a set of Shure VP88.
Shure VP88 microphones are single-point, stereo condenser microphones specifically made for field production, electronic news gathering (ENG) and studio broadcasting applications. It combines two condenser cartridges in a single housing to create a stereo audio image of the sound source. It is unique in its ability to capture the realism of a live event and yet withstand rigorous field production environments.
The Shure VP88 are specifically purchased to catch the ambience in the sport arenas. The VP88’s will be placed at the end of the players tunnel and at the top ring of the tribune. The experience at home will be almost as if the viewer were inside the stadium.
