A drop of water can be as magical as it is dazzling in the hands of a true artist. Water is the source of life, it mystifies us, fascinates us. Forever in transformation, it can assume an infinite number of unexpected shapes. The shape of water is the inspiration for Perseo. Ayrton’s first compact multifunction luminaire with an IP 65 water resistant and dust tight enclosure rating. Water droplets form the emblem for this new series of luminaires.

Ayrton has specifically developed the optics in Perseo to achieve an optimal resolution to performance to efficiency ratio. The ultimate in versatility designed for multiple outdoor and indoor applications. As elegant as it is powerful Perseo is equipped with a new 500 Watt super compact monochromatic LED source calibrated at 8000K. This profile luminaire can deliver metallic white light with an output of 27.000 lumens at a color temperature of 6500K. The high resolution optics produce a uniform flat beam with no hot-spots. Fitted with a 148mm frontal lens its proprietary has 13 lenses, delivering an 8:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 7° to 56°.

Perseo-S boasts feature-rich standard equipment including a subtractive CMY colour mixing system combined with a variable CTO and a wheel with six complementary colours that produces an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colours. Opening a world of infinite possibilities and when water explodes into a million droplets the show is even more stunning.

The framing section allows accurate positioning of four shutter blades on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user can frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. The image section includes 18 interchangeable HD glass gobos on two wheels: one rotating wheel with seven positions and one fixed wheel with eleven positions. The effects section includes a continuous dynamic effects wheel; a 15-blade iris diaphragm; two frost filters, one soft edge, one hard edge; and two rotating prisms, one circular with 5 facets and one linear with 4 facets.

Perseo-S presents a sleeker, updated, industrial design, with perfectly straightened yoke arms, a minimalist base and a new water-resistant menu navigation system. Perseo-S can be controlled by DMX-RDM, ArtNet™ or a wireless link using CRMX TiMo RDM from LumenRadio™.
